青春が詰まったアルバムです。ホワット・メイクス・ユー・ビューティフルで彼らを知りました。ほかの曲もどれも聴きやすくおすすめです。声が今よりも高くて可愛いです。声から伝わってくる若々しさは、今ではすごく眩しく感じます。

中三の次男のリクエストで誕生日プレゼントとして購入。「早くも10曲に★5をつけた！」と自分のiPod Touchでニコニコしながら聴いているこどもに対して、車の中でせっせと繰り返し聴いてようやく印象的なサビが定着し始め、会話ができるようになってきた。 順応性の低下を嘆いているとあま〜い歌詞が、こどもがこれから経験するであろう自分はすでに失った光り輝く青春時代を想起させ、追い打ちをかける。羨ましいけれどもう一度やり直すのはめんどくさい、と思ってしまうのは”sour grapes”なのだろう。 洋楽を聴くのであれば、と張り切って「おすすめ曲」をこどものiTunesに送り込むものの、「おとうさんが好きな曲はガチャガチャうるさいんだよね〜」といわれてしまう。異様なまでに1970年代の楽曲に偏っている自分のiTunesライブラリに、こどもたちが新しい風を入れてくれる日は近い。

Youtubeで全曲視聴できるので是非聴いてみて下さい！ 絶対にCDを買いたくなる筈です！ 一番好きなのはTell Me A Lieですが、シングルにWhat Makes You Beautifulを選曲したのは正解だと思います。最もキャッチーで親しみやすい楽曲に感じました。 国内盤ボーナストラックに好きな曲が入っているのでそちらを購入予定です。 デビュー当時はまだまだ技術に少々難ありで、人気に実力が伴わずこの先が心配になりましたが、若いからか成長も著しく、既に実力も十分といえるグループになりました。 二枚目のアルバムを製作中で、ソロの配分を変えるっぽいので気になるところですが… 楽しみ！！
