Progressive / symphonic rock that blends the mystic qualities of Genesis, the sense of the bizarre from Gentle Giant, the melodic capabilities of the Beatles or Kevin Gilbert, the occasional outburst of virtuosity displayed by Yes and the compositional style of Emerson Lake & palmer and Kansas. Combine these attributes with thought-provoking lyrics ala Ian Anderson, Peter Gabriel and Sting and produce the whole package in a Pink Floyd meets Trevor Horn mix. Throw in bits from King Crimson, Vangelis, Queen, Todd Rundgren's Utopia, Patrick Moraz, UK, Asia, Steeleye Span, Gryphon, Renaissance, Steely Dan, Toto, Danny Elfman, Mark Mothersbaugh, Rush, Frank Zappa and melt all of this into a unique, coherent and current style. Channel all of the band's collective energy into creating a 64-minute concept album consisting of 18 individual songs, unrelated and yet containing a common thread throughout much like Tommy or Quadrophoenia by the Who. This description has been New Eden Orchestra's recipe for the creation of 'Anyman'. Recurring musical and lyrical themes as well as their variations are used throughout Anyman to recall certain scenes or generate timely emotional responses. New Eden Orchestra's primary focus is always on the composition and where it will fit into the overall flow of the album.
