Great vocal performances all the way around. Drawing from a multitude of styles: Americana, Jazz, rock, country and gospel. All of the songs are well-written both musically and lyrically. When you hear the keyboards, both beautiful and 'stanky', playing with complimenting the well-placed pedal steel guitar, upright bass and extremely musical drum performance, you would never know it is an acoustic guitar based at the core. This album was recorded live at 1 performancione with no post production overdubs, gadgetry or gimmicks. All post production was simply mixing, EQ and mastering. You will hear the purity and the organic sound of New Darlins on this album just as you will when you see them live.
