60年代のNHK音源は玉石混合だが、これは潤いがあり、実によい音だ。「ハフナー」は、ヴァイオリンが対向配置である必要があるが、クーベリックは、この形をとる指揮者なので、その点は問題ない。あらゆる意味でライヴ的で、フランク、ヒンデミットと、プログラムの魅力もあり、これは買いでしょう。

ﾗｲｳﾞのｸｰﾍﾞﾘｯｸは熱い！彼の《新世界》やｼｪﾘﾝｸﾞと組んだﾌﾞﾗｰﾑｽの協奏曲のﾗｲｳﾞなどを聴くたびに、ｸｰﾍﾞﾘｯｸの真骨頂はﾗｲｳﾞにあることを痛感してきましたが、このﾌﾗﾝｸなどもご多分に漏れず素晴らしい熱演になっています。音質も良好で、ややﾊｲ上がりな面もありますが、ｽｹｰﾙの大きな演奏を伝えるのに不足なく、残響も程よく捉えられています。とりわけﾌﾗﾝｸの終楽章の盛り上がり方が素晴らしく、身体が熱くなります。

よく練られたフランクである。2楽章スケルツォの激速演奏や3楽章の弾むベースなど各所にライブ用演奏か？と感じられる部分があるのが残念だ。しかし、一楽章の緊迫感はさすがであり、フランクを語るなら聴いておきたい演奏であろう。
