Content Description

高校を卒業したサムは、再婚した母とは離れて、戦争後遺症で社会復帰できずに苦しむ叔父のエメットと暮らしていた。彼女の恋人は、そんなエメットに批判的だった。そんなある日、サムは戦死した父親の写真と手紙を発見する。亡き父の面影を求めて、叔父やその友人の退役軍人たちに戦争の事を尋ねるが、皆一様に口が重かった。サムはますます関心を持ち、退役軍人の整備士トムと結ばれるが、エメットは・・・。
