メキシコ国境にある小さな村。棺桶を引きずりながらやって来た静かなるガンマン“ジャンゴ”は、ならず者たちに弄られている娼婦マリアを救い出す。手下を殺された町を牛耳るジャクソン一味は、ジャンゴを血祭りに上げようとするが、逆にジャンゴが棺桶に隠していた機関銃によって壊滅してしまう。ジャンゴに復讐を誓うジャクソンだったが、今度はメキシコで反政府運動をするウーゴ将軍が町へとやってくる。そして、ジャンゴはウーゴと手を組み、メキシコ政府から金品を奪う計画をたてる。
