Incredible debut from my fave new female singer from the united states. BIG collaborations with Alex Alvarez, Osunlade (who lives in Greece the latest 3 years), Kenny Dope, Carlos Nino and more ... a voyage between traditiona cuban music and future deep house soundspaces that mixes also with downtempo moods even hypnotic drum n bass melodies. Already a personal classic ... if you grow up with singers like Flora Purim, Sade, Minnie Ripperton, Tracey Thorn ...

キューバ人とドイツ人のハーフのマレーナのデビュー作だが紹介文にはフューチャーラテンとあるがラテンの土臭さや肉体的な熱さはここには全くないのでそちら方面を期待している方は要注意。むしろラテン〜トリップホップ〜ソウル〜ボサノバ〜ジャズ等実に様々なエッセンスのある豊かな音楽性をディープハウスのフィルターを通過して表現したコンテンポラリーＡＯＲと形容した方がシックリくる。現在はＮＹを拠点に活躍しているのも頷ける極めて清涼感と透明感のある音楽性はラテンファンよりもジョークラウゼル周辺のスピリチュアルハウスのファンやイタリアのスケーマ周辺のクラブジャズファンにこそ聴いていただきたい良質なポップスだ。
