Magic Trick is Tim Cohen from the wonder-pop masters the Fresh & Onlys. To call Magic Trick a side, or even a solo project, would be in many ways both right and wrong, for what started as an exercise in music making has evolved, sprouted wings, and taken form as a super group of sorts. Tim, along with Alicia from Aisler's Set, Noelle Cahill, and James Kim bring Tim's vision to life. Ruler of the Night is filled with heart breaking glorious joy and haunting, other planetary sounds. Imagine Kate Bush working with Harry Nilsson and you'd get close to it, but this record would be better than that.
