Theres Work To Be Done

If you were to have a theme for this album of songs it would be 'work'. Now, who wants to hear about work, after all we want relaxation and leisure time right? Well, work is much more than trading labor for dollars. Work can define who we are and where we're going. A good work ethic and a job well done can and should be great rewards in our lives. 1 Corinthians 3:9 says we are laborers together with God. Wow! That puts a whole new light on our labors and responsibilities that calls for divine guidance. When I was a kid my Dad told me 'to put my back into my work,' as he did when he worked in the Buckeye oil fields as a young man. He would say 'when you put your had to the plow, don't ever look back.' Great advice but of course there are those times when our work takes over our lives and we must be still and listen for God's voice. I think you will hear a bit of His voice in these new songs. I hope they will bring you enjoyment and peace and a renewed interest to share 'your gifts' with the world around you.
