    ナクソス最初期にリリースされていた〜フェスティバルシリーズの一枚で、ハンガリーの作曲家の作品を集めた物。 このシリーズ、ほとんどがスロヴァキアのオケだが、このCDのみマティアス・アンタル指揮、ハンガリー国立交響楽団と地元のオケによる演奏である。 そのためだろうか、初期ナクソスのCDでもなかなかの物で、コダーイ『ハーリ・ヤノーシュ』やフバイ『チャルダーシュ』ベルリオーズ『ラコツィ行進曲』は名演と言ってよい。 洗練されていない独特のオケの音色もまた良い味が出ている。 初期ナクソス特有の録音が気にならなくもないが、値段を考えればおすすめの一枚。
