2012 album from this Scottish Alt-Rock supergroup. Lightships is the brainchild of Teenage Fan club singer, songwriter, bassist and founding member Gerard Love. Lightships is very much a band and Gerard sought out a cast of Glasgow-based friends to help shape the sound. Playing with him are Dave McGowan (guitar, Teenage Fan club), Brendan O'Hare (drums, from the first incarnation of Teenage Fan club), Tom Crossley (flute, International Airport and the Pastels) and Bob Kildea (bass, Belle & Sebastian).

ティーンエイジファンクラブの２大看板の一人ノーマンと並ぶライナー、ヴォーカル、ベースのジェラルドのソロバンドがこのライトシップス！初夏を思わせる涼しげなジャケットまさしく音の方もその通り。エバーグリーンなポップ・ナンバーがずらり。ティーンエイジファンクラブの名盤「Songs From Northern Britain」以降のジェラルドの作風に通じる。特に②いいなんて何度聴いても良いメロディ！他③④⑤⑥⑧などおすすめナンバーぎっしり。これは２０１２年の名盤だ。
