もう20年近く前にリリースされたアルバムに...

もう20年近く前にリリースされたアルバムにも関わらず、今聞いてもぜんぜん古さが感じられないのは凄い。久々に引っ張り出して聞いてみたけど、③⑤⑨がオススメ。特に⑤は名曲。切ない歌詞がかなり染みます。 ”START THE CAR”もいいですが、このアルバムに比べると、かなりカントリーやアコースティック寄りになっている感じです。

2作目となる90年発表当時は、②が16位のスマッシュヒットを記録したことで新人扱いされていたが、87年の1stは隠れた名盤。このアルバムの中で好きなトラックは②⑦。次作の”start the car”はもっとイイから要チェック。
