Three years on from 1999's 'Acme-Plus', legendary rock 'n' roll trio the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion return with their most accessible offering yet. Recorded last summer in the band's home town of New York, 'Plastic Fang' features twelve brand new recordings that cut a jagged swathe through the apocryphal histories of soul, rockabilly, funk, garage rock, R & B and, of course, the blues. Produced by Steve Jordan (who has drummed on albums by everyone from Steely Dan to Keith Richards and B.B. King) and recorded and mixed by Don Smith (U2, Rolling Stones), musical guests include singer/songwriter Elliott Smith, Parliament/Funkadelic principal Bernie Worrell, and New Orleans keyboardist Dr. John. Includes the single 'She Said'.
