After years of playing restaurants, coffeehouses, house concerts, and even church gigs, John Fleming finally presents his own version of the Americana music so popular in the Texas Hill Country. John likes to call his music 'Local Americana'-- Country with a lot of Folk and a fair bit of Bluegrass rhythm and even a dash of the Blues. Each song on this debut release is crafted with a personal touch and shares a story set in real life, communicating love and hope and disappointment and redemption. Seven original tunes in various styles are written from deeply personal places, even when they offer a bit of tongue-in-cheek humor, while John also gives glimpses of his own creative takes on some of his favorite artists with arrangements of Americana classics from Guy Clark, Robert Earl Keen, Jr., and Paul Overstreet. Each song gives you the chance to hum or sing along as if you were driving down US 281 with the windows down on a stunning spring day, surrounded by Bluebonnets and Paintbrush.
