プレスティッジ後期と思われるアルバムを編集した作品。ジャイアントステップスまであと少し。すでに第一次のスタイルを確立したコルトレーンが抜群のリズム隊を得てブライトな音でスタンダードを演奏する。音が非常によく、各曲の繋がりもよく通して聞けるいいアルバム。どんなテンポでも揺るがない、自信を持った演奏が聴かれる。ファンなら揃えておきたいところだ。
