Powerful Classic yet quite Contemporary Rock elements drive most of this project in both beat and lyrics, in balances of tender moments and power -- many times in the same song. John Brandon is first and foremost a songwriter, then performer and was heavily influenced by the powerful plays turned films of the 60s, 70s and 80s like 'Hair,' 'Jesus Christ Superstar,' and 'Evita' that were quite successful at reaching listeners deepest emotions on important controversial social issues. His music is overtly influenced by 70s Classic Rock and on some songs a hint of the great Grunge and Alternative 90s rock, laced with Country, Pop, Blues and Easy Listening elements. Even a hint of Hip Hop appears in a few songs.
