Private Party (A Collection Of Jazz Duos)

Ten different jazz duo settings of pianist Jim Connerley with six of Cincinnati's finest jazz musicians including guitarist Dan Faehnle, vibraphonist Rusty Burge and vocalist Ann Chamberlain. Original arrangements of jazz standards like 'Miles Ahead' and Bud Powell's 'Blue Pearl' as well as familiar standards like 'Witchcraft' and 'Memories of You' comprise most of the album. There are also two originals and a rendition of Elvis Costello's 'Almost Blue'. Personnel includes: Jim Connerley, piano (all tracks), Dan Faehnle, guitar (track 1), Ann Chamberlain, vocals (tracks 2, 5, 7), Rusty Burge, vibraphone (tracks 3, 9), Dan Drees, tenor saxophone (tracks 4, 10), Jim Anderson, bass (track 6) and Steve Flora, bass (track 8).
