UKの新人SingerであるJessie Ware、28歳(@2012)のデビューアルバム。既に本国での評価は上々だ。UK Soulという括りにはなるのであろうが、ダブステップでも、Amy Winehouseのようなオールド志向でもなく、SadeをよりPopにした印象だ。Trackはゆったり目の曲が多くて、洗練されており、耳に心地よい。エレピやベースが強調されたり、打ち込みを適度にとりいれたりと掴みも忘れていない。唄のほうは非黒人ということもあり、スムースで癖のない声であっさり、しっとりとしている。夜聴くと良さそうなアルバムです。
