Product Description

After 3 years serving as the frontman for Seattle rockers Jett City ('the world's only tribute to Joan Jett') and another 3 years fronting his own power-pop band Sugarcane Mutiny, Seattle singer/songwriter Jess Grant has struck out on his own. The new album INNOCENT INVADER contains 14 new songs recorded in the home-studio of engineer and drum programmer Mark Fauver, and features the intrepid support of Sugarcane alumni Casey Allen playing bass on most tracks, along with guest appearances by 15 different NW musicians. These guest players bring a wealth of styles to the CD. From the scorching lead guitar on Dark Words to the mandolin and vocal harmonies on the ballad Bitterly Cruel. From the bluesy political rocker (and title track) Innocent Invader to the catchy synth pop of She Waves. From the lush pastoral arrangements of Come the River to the tears-in-my-beer country of I've Always Been Particular. Every song went in a different direction, with each player matched to the style that they excelled in.
