現代、アルバム曲数、１２〜１４曲あたりが当たり前の時代に、なんと！９曲勝負！！捨て曲なし！！ ２ndが楽しみ♪

Ne-Yoが出てきてからこの手の曲で売れてきた人はたくさんいます。 そしていわゆる一発屋で終わる人もいます。 このアルバムを聞く限り１曲目のインパクトが強すぎて他にちょくちょく秀曲もあるのに目立たないのが非常に残念です。 ですが、全体的に見るとここ最近の新人の中では際立つものを感じられるので次回作も期待大です！ （でも、この手のアーティストって２ndで大体大コケするんだよな...)

いまやタイガー・ウッズの不倫騒動により、「Whatcha Say」が彼のテーマソングとなって、思いも寄らない形で名前が売れたJason Derulo。 しかし、アルバム全体を通して非常にキャッチーで聴き易い作品となっています。「What If」というバラードも秀作ですね。 ただこの手の作品は、直ぐに「飽き」がきてしまうのも事実ですね。 1枚目としては合格点でしょう。次回作をUsher路線行くのか、Ne-Yo路線にするのか明確に打ち出していかないと、数多く消えていったアーティストと変わらない運命をたどるでしょう。 とにかく、今のR＆B界は「クセ」が無いと生き残れないですから、「Jason Derulo」というジャンルを作るような勢いがほしいものです。現時点では、どっちつかずで方向性があやふやなので。 次回作に期待です。期待をこめて、★4です。
