I Got Your Back

This CD is a wild romp through numerous genres by Powder Blues founder and bassist Jack Lavin, (Jake), and Edmonton, Alberta's hottest guitar slinger and former student of jazz guitarist Lenny Breau, Gary Koliger, (Gate). Lavin and Koliger collaborated on this project for almost three years via the internet using Protools and occasional visits to each other's cities, (Lavin resides in Burnaby, BC, a suburb of Vancouver). Jake and Gate are well known for their musical sense of humor both lyrically and musically. They have placed tunes on two Powder Blues albums, (Uncut and Thirsty Ears), and an Amos Garrett album, (I Make My Home In My Shoes). Their sense of fun and their fine musicianship make this CD a great listen. From the affirmation of mutual friendship and support, (I Got Your Back), to the final cut pondering the meaning of life, (Life is Great), there is some real food for thought while 'letting the good times roll'!
