コメントは「Jackie McLean Quintet」(Jubilee JLP1064) に関してです。ジャッキー・マクリーン（Jackie McLean 1931年5月17日〜2006年3月31日）はアメリカ合衆国ニューヨーク生まれのジャズ・サックス奏者。アルバムは1955年の録音で通称「猫のマクリーン」。「Capuchin Swing」が「猿のマクリーン」でこちらは「猫」。共演者はトランペットがドナルド・バード、ピアノがマル・ウォルドロン、ベースがダグ・ワトキンス、ドラムがロナルド・タッカー。全員が20代の若者たちによる溌剌とした演奏が何とも爽快にしてくれる。これから船出をする不安と勇気が入り混じった若者にしか味わえない表情がそのまま記録されている。
