Saxophonist Ian O'Beirne hails from Philadelphia, a city that knowingly embraces new ideas in jazz composition. Influenced by acid jazz, hip-hop and intelligent dance music, Ian's writing style has been described as alternately subtle, ever-lyrical and brain-melting. Having brought this music to venues as diverse as New York's Smalls and Fukuoka's Hard Rock Cafe, the album is borne of years spent forging a trademark style with an enclave of diverse musicians from around the country.
