こういうアルバムがキチンとロック史において語り継がれるべき。 故マイケル・ハッチェンス（U2：Bonoの親友でした）が最も輝いた瞬間、オーストラリア出身バンドとしてAC/DC、メン・アット・ワークに続いてその名が大きく全世界に広がりました。 前作で片鱗を見せていた楽曲の質の向上が完成形を迎え、事実”チャート上”でもいかに優れた楽曲群であったかが立証されました。 シンプルながらまるでR.ストーンズのヒット曲のようなPOPで印象的なギター・リフが勝因。 当時この手の「カッコよさ」を体現していた唯一のバンドでした。合掌

ビルボード全米アルバム最高３位。当時、４００万枚突破。これは売れました。先行シングルで全米No,1を記録した４曲目を皮切りにセカンドカットの３(全米２位）。続いて２（全米４位）、８（全米７位）とトップ１０シングルヒット４曲を連発。アルバムもロングセラーを記録。全般的に決してメロディアス的ではなく、シンプルな構成とフックやヒネリでバカ受けした。あとマイケルのカリスマ的魅力も加わって売れた感も。世界的に売れた彼ら最大のヒットアルバム。

ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑより12ｲﾝﾁをよく聴いた記憶がある。あと、ﾌﾞｰﾄのﾗｲﾌﾞﾋﾞﾃﾞｵが何故かたくさん出回ってるﾊﾞﾝﾄﾞだったなぁ。ｶｯﾃｨﾝｸﾞとか気持ちいい音色でｽｷ。
