オリジナルに加えてサティからコルトレーンのカヴァーを含む意欲作。LPで2枚組でした。CTI時代、また彼の全キャリアを通じても代表作は『春祭』やシスコでのライヴ盤ではなく、まさしく今作だと思う。自分がコレだと感じたトラックは、S.ガッドとの驚愕のデュオがくりひろげられる、ロリンズの『エアジン』。初めて耳にした時は、言葉を失いました。S.ガッドのファンなら、この1曲の為だけでもマスト・バイでしょう。国内盤は権利関係で、ずっ〜と未CD化なのが実に嘆かわしい。
