1987年作品だからいちおう彼のなかでは初期作品になろう。前作から８ヶ月後（しかもその間に一枚のクリスマスアルバムを出している）に当作品を発表。①③④が連続でビルボードカントリーソングチャートで№1に輝く。カントリーアルバムチャートでも6週連続の№1。1990年まで当アルバムから5作品連続の№1獲得という偉業を達成。そして1990年代を迎えてカントリー界はガース・ブルックスを迎えて活況を呈するのだが・・ジョージはこのころまでにはすでに不動の地位を築いていた。印象的なジャケット。ポーズがややロバート・デ・ニーロ風？
