ﾀｲﾄﾙどおり、単なるｸﾞﾚｲﾃｽﾄﾋｯﾂ盤にあらず、 ずばり‘ﾅﾝﾊﾞｰﾜﾝﾋｯﾄ’集。 1980年代初頭から活動するGeorgeの約20年のｷｬﾘｱ集大成とも言える内容で、 billboardｶﾝﾄﾘｰﾁｬｰﾄをはじめ全米での主要ｶﾝﾄﾘｰﾁｬｰﾄでﾅﾝﾊﾞｰﾜﾝとなったﾅﾝﾊﾞｰ50曲に加えて、 新曲『I Hate Everything』(ｼﾝｸﾞﾙとしてやはりﾅﾝﾊﾞｰﾜﾝを記録)を収録し計51曲の超豪華盤!! 最近Georgeを知ったﾌｧﾝのみならず、まずはお薦めしたい一枚ですね。 ちなみにこのあともﾋｯﾄｿﾝｸﾞは増え続け、 ﾊﾞﾘﾊﾞﾘ現役ながら『ｶﾝﾄﾘｰﾐｭｰｼﾞｯｸの殿堂』入りをし またｶﾝﾄﾘｰﾐｭｰｼﾞｯｸでのｱｰﾃｨｽﾄ･ｵﾌﾞ･ﾃﾞｨｹｲﾄﾞ(2000年代)の名誉に輝きながら現在も歌いつづけています。

もはやジョージを「カントリー界の○○」などと形容する必要は無い。デビュー以来変わらぬパフォーマンスを続け、現役第一線で有り続けていることを今作が証明してくれる。単なるベスト盤を超えるこの企画ものには驚いた。50曲のナンバーワン（ビルボードチャートでは全てが№１ではないけれど）を網羅していながら「大好きなあの曲が入ってないなぁ・・」という存在。終世現役なんだろうな？そしていつか「70＃1’s」なんてタイトルが発売されたりして・・新曲①もこの企画にふさわしいナンバー、もちろんNO.1です。
