ワム時代から、『ケアレス・ウィスパー』『ディファレント・コーナー』等の、個人名義に等しい曲が有りましたが、このソロ第一作目はロック史に残る名盤です！今購入するなら、２０１１年リマスターのデラックス版を選択するのがベストです！

名盤ですね。ワム解散後、最初のソロアルバム。ワム時代の モータウンサウンドとポップスが融合したメイク・イット・ビッグと 並ぶ彼の代表作。 まだこの頃の彼は20代中ごろ。あふれ出る才能に将来が末恐ろしくも あったけど、これが彼の最後の傑作に終わるとはこの時誰が思った でしょうか？ 次作以降は悪くはないけどやはりこれと比べる差がありすぎる。 少し前のライブDVDで彼の元気な姿を見たので、もう一度、 彼の代表作となりうるアルバムを発表してくれるのを切に思う。 今の年齢で昔の音楽性・創造性を求めるのは酷だけど、長年の ファンは待っています。

確かFather FigureのB面やったStevie Wonderのカバー「they won’t go when I go」(live version)が収録されないんすか...Monkeyの7”ch versionは素直に嬉しいすけど、残念。I Want Your SexにしたってPart 1だけを独立させた本来のversionもほしいし（サントラBeverly Hills Cop IIにしか入ってないはず）、Part 1〜3をノンストップでまとめた12”ch versionも入れてしかるべきでしょうよ。 せっかくの機会にここまで出し惜しみしてちゃあ...がっかり！ 他のソロ作やワム！の各アルバムも早よリマスターせえよ！ 働け！ジョージ。
