ジョージのファンである私は、LPで買いました。2500円でした。昭和50年代初期でしたから高価です。ダブルジャケットでした。 予想はしていましたが内容にはがっくりきました。ビートルズのジョージを期待していましたから。ウィズイン・ユー・ウィザウト・ユーのできそこないみたいな曲の連発かと思っていましたが、まったくはずれでした。 クラプトンのギターはなんとなくわかる程度だったと思います。 ジョージがプロデュースしたサウウンドトラックとじゅうぶん理解して聞くべき。 ピアノの演奏によるシンギング・オムだけが聞くに堪える曲で今でも頭に残っています。 ジャケットには東洋人と西洋人が左右に描かれ、中央にレンガの壁があります。壁のレンガがひとつだけ抜けて穴が開いています。その穴が東洋と西洋をつなぐ自分（ジョージ）だという意味かなと解釈しています。 あれから35年ほど過ぎ、LPは実家に置いたまま。今聴けば、印象が違うかもしれません。評価の星の数は私が聴きやすいかどうかの指標です。 今思うとピンク・フロイドよりも何年も前に壁（ウォール）を題材にした作品をジョージは作っていたのだな。偉い。
