Eve album number three and the girl certainly has come a long way from the wannabe Philly rhymer who called herself Eve of Destruction and swapped raps in the girl group EDJP. Always the first lady in the Ruff Ryders stable, Eve has tempered the kind of reputation such an association can conjure up with a keen understanding of what makes hip-hop work. 'Eve-olution' is another steady diet of the kind of chart-friendly rap monikers that made her hit 'Let Me Blow Ya Mind' (included here) sobig. There are guest appearances here from fellow Ryders Jadakiss and Drag-On as well as the new R'n'B sensation Truth Hurts, whilst the lead single 'Gangsta Lovin'' features Alicia Keys. It's all good.
