Eric Benet (part of the band Benet, which released an overlooked album a few years back), makes his Warner Bros. debut with an album of seductive, harmony-laden soul music in a classic vein. While echoes of Stevie Wonder, Al Green and other '70s icons can be heard in the album's 13 tracks, Eric puts his own contemporary spin on the music throughout. The album was written primarily by Eric; master funkateer Roger Troutman and Christian also contribute. First single: Let's Stay Together (featured in the film a Thin Line Between Love And Hate).

心地良い生音とﾌｧﾙｾｯﾄｳﾞｫｲｽの絡みがねちっこく狂おしく迫る③、まさに更け入る夜に溶けていきそうなほどﾛﾏﾝﾁｯｸな④。今にもこぼれ落ちそうなほどの哀感漂う⑦、軽快なﾘｽﾞﾑの上に美ﾒﾛが波のように押し寄せてくる⑧⑪、あまりにも耳障りが良すぎる⑫などなど、曲調は意外とﾊﾞﾗｴﾃｨに富んでいるものの、ｽﾃ曲なし、ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ一枚うっとり魅了される。秋の夜長にじっくり浸りたい。
