Produced in the summer of 2011, VERDANT represents the best of Emerald Rose's songwriting and composition. From Steampunk-inspired numbers (Her Majesty's Airship Corps, Clockwork Love) to modern pop (Castaway, In The Mixdown) to Celtic ballad (Shepherdess of Dreams, The Empty Isle), each track tells a story that makes you think and touches your emotions in a unique way. There are also lively dance instrumentals (Salamanca/Sailors Bonnet, Peat That Smokes the Barley, Sunny Day), an unusual song inspired by Tielhard the Monk's philosophy (Omega), and a LIVE version of the band's well-known 'Freya, Shakti.'
