Stringed Migration an acoustic quintet lead by singer & harpist Elizabeth Nicholson, performs a lush concoction of Celtic-based world music with a twist of jazz. Fly Not Yet features arrangements that exemplify the American melting pot; one track merging a traditional Lebanese tune with a Scottish ballad, another marrying a merengue rhythm with a Cape Breton Reel, another setting an American shape-note song within a chamber-inflected string arrangement with vocals, Celtic harp, bouzouki, guitar, whistles, violins, double bass, and percussion, showcased by some of the Pacific Northwest's most esteemed Celtic and roots musicians.
