The Early Sides' debut album By and By was a long time coming. Pieced together over the course of nearly 10 years, this collection of songs draws from a range of song styles and influences, including old-time traditional, Americana, and more contemporary indie-folk. Written by Rob Addington and recorded and engineered primarily by long-time friends Andy LeMaster in Athens, GA, and Michael Crow in Austin, TX, the songs feature rich vocal harmonies and creative guitar voicings by Mike Landis and Channing Lewis, as well as melodic pedal steel and violin by Michael Crow, dynamic synths, resonator and organ by Andy LeMaster, and bass and saw by Jeff Johnston. Friends Jesse Shelby and Brant Slay contribute drums and harmonica on the album's final track, One Hundred Deep, recorded and engineered by Steve Meadows in Columbus, GA. The songs range in style from ballad-esque to more contemplative explorations of loss and spirituality, and in total represent a diverse collection we hope you will enjoy.
