1999年3月､59歳でこの世を去ったダスティ・スプリングフィールド。彼女はちょっと硬質ながら（そこがキュートなんだけど）ホワイト・ソウル風味の艶やかなヴォーカルを聴かせてくれた。その60’sソフト・ロックとホワイト・ソウルの中間をいくような歌唱スタイルを聴かせる個性は、意外にも少ないのではないだろうか。
