This album is the realisation of a dream for Duncan Fraser; it contains tracks brilliantly composed and arranged by a very talented young man who leads a equally talented young band. The average age of the band is 22 and the youngest member of the band is just 16. You would be hard pushed to find any musical ensemble that has young players with such professionalism, musicianship and ability these days. Every track has been brilliantly crafted by Fraser and is clearly a direct tribute to his biggest influence as a jazz performer, Kenny Wheeler. His music is fresh yet still rooted in the Wheeler style. The combination of Fraser's talent as a jazz musician, arranger, composer and this fantastic young band make for an album which deserves to be recognised in the jazz world and beyond.
