ここもと、充実作を年１枚のペースでハイ・ノート・レーベルからリリースしているデヴィッド・ニューマン。その第１作がコレです。かつてはコワモテで鳴らした“ソウルジャズの頑固職人”も、ヒゲ・髪の毛共に真っ白。しかし芸には益々磨きが掛かり、非常にバランスの良い作品に仕上がりました。
