Second Wind

To celebrate the World Race 2011 from New York to Paris, Dave, along with lyricist and original drummer Mike Dellger, collaborated on the CD's title song, Second Wind, a scorching rocker that draws attention to the innovative technology of today's racing machines. Jerry Price, the Executive Director of World Race 2011, will drive his modified Corvette that runs on a variety of fuels, including alcohol. The song also pays homage to the original grueling World Race of 1908. This 18-song CD is a compilation of some of the very best songs Dave and his bandmates have written and recorded over the past thirty years. There are songs that continue in the same vein as the title cut, but there are also straight-ahead love songs, dance songs, and achingly beautiful blues ballads. This CD not only celebrates the exhilaration of flying down the highway, but it also examines the personal emotions of love and desire and heartache. There is even a song about a seductive Celtic witch. None of Dave's previously released CDs has demonstrated the volume, musical diversity, or songwriting talent as Second Wind.
