Ashley Beedleに続く「Grass Roots」待望の第二弾、Danny Krivit！その活動歴は2001年を持って実に30周年（！）という、いわばダンスミュージックの生き字引的な存在である彼が、名門Strutレーベルの音源を使用し、ジャズ・ファンク、ディスコ、アフリカン、ハウスのクラシックスをDJ Mixという、いやがおうにも期待が高まる1枚！もちろん、彼の代名詞とも言える「Re-Edit」されたトラックも満載で、しかも一曲ごとに彼のコメントが書かれたブックレットもも読み応え十分（もちろん英語ですが、、、。）！それにしても、本当に一曲一曲をとても大事に、そしてスウィートに聴かせてくれるDannyのプレイはやはり流石の一言、、、。収録曲見ただけで、あのNina Simoneの「My Baby…」とか、どんな風にプレイされてるか想像つく人います？ま、でも一番の聴き所は、やはりラストのChuck Mangione「Land Of Make Believe」からアンコールのBill Withers「Lovely day」でしょうか。この「アンコール」ってとこがポイントなんだけど、どうしてかは聴いてのお楽しみ！「Lovely Day」ってホントいい曲だよなぁ。※国内盤解説付き
