Minced Valves

This is a very rare find by past Tangerine Dream member Steve Schroyder. Steve found this lost tape that was recorded in January 1977 in Berlin with Conrad Schnitzler, Steve and Patrick Gresbek (both Steve and Patrick where in the group Scarecrew). This was a single session that was discovered in early 2009 in his archives and brought to the Ricochet Dream studio in USA for a proper transfer and production. Conrad Schnitzler was involved in a final edit and mastering and supplied some material from 1977 at the beginning and end of the release to make the duration of the CD just over one hour. This can be considered and Berlin School electronic music and Krautrock rarity and especially since this is a limited CD edition of 300 copies and a rare collaboration of two past Tangerine Dream members. Ash Ra Tempel fans, as well as Conrad Schnitzler & Tangerine Dream collectors, could find this release interesting since Steve Schroyder also played on a few Ash Ra Tempel albums under the name Steve A. This is the only recording that exists of the improvisation sessions with this rare trio.
