Product Description

2015 live archive release. The reunion concerts of Colosseum came about due to the re-release of the bands albums on CD in the early 90's. This generated a lot of interest in the band. When Dave, Dick, Clem and Chris ganged up on the legendary drummer Jon Hiseman in 1993, it became clear there was no escape and the reunion concerts were decided. Most of the album was recorded at a concert in Cologne but the first and last songs were recorded at Freiburg as they played their first concert in 23 years.

この後、スタジオ録音による新譜「BREAD＆CIRCUSES」(こちらも傑作)を出したことからも判る通り、単なる同窓会ではない、現役感覚に満ちた“本気”が伝わってくるライブだ。中でもC.Clempsonのギタープレイは、若い頃よりもアグレッシブで、“The Grass Is Greener”の5分に及ぶソロは圧巻!

一曲目からかの黄金時代そのままの演奏が飛び出して思わず引き込まれてしまいます。 当時の演奏そのままのスタイルで年月の隔たりを感じさせない好演です。 ジョンのドラムソロも相変わらず人間機関車！衰えを見せません♪ 過去の名曲がズラリ勢ぞろいですので、ファン必携ではないでしょうか。
