Product Description

Two of Cameo-Parkway's biggest artists at the start of the 1960s, the decision to have the pair link up for a joint album proved inspired. There is a sense of fun running through the whole album, most notably on 'Your Hits And Mine' in which Bobby sings the hits of Chubby Checker and vice versa! Throw in a couple of Christmas songs (the album was originally released in December 1961) and you have the perfect album for a party, sung by two of the most successful artists of the day. Hallmark.

よくぞこんな珍盤（？）に目をつけCDにしたものだ。CAMEO-PARKWAYの看板スター２人の共演盤は後にも先にもこの１枚きり。その２人がお互いのヒット曲を歌いながらクリスマスを楽しもうという趣向の企画。聞きものは何といっても２人がモノマネで歌い上げるクリスマス・ソング集。当時の人気歌手が次から次へと…。ふーむ、やるもんだ。この人たち、本物のエンターテイナーでした。ライデルの歌うツィスト（もちろん、チャビーのカヴァー）はどこかで映像も見た記憶もあるけれど。傷だらけのLPで聞いた曲が雑音なしで蘇ったことは喜ばしいのだが、62,3年頃の録音にもかかわらず、CAMEO-PARKWAYは録音に関しては当時から後れをとっていて、これも残念ながらモノラル録音。
