Biography Charlene Robertson-Album ans Single releases LOVE SMILES DEDICATED TO THE CHILDREN ON THE FRONTLINE - COMBINATION ALBUM This album was released in 1988 to raise funds for these children which featured two songs sung and written by charlene robertson, Be true to yourself and Home. There was a concert in Harare, Zimbabwe in March of 1988 at the time to support the cause which featured artists like, Harry Belifont'e,Maxi Priest,Youssou Ndour, Zimbabwean and some South African Artists. There were alot of reviews on the album and charlene went on to release her songs off of the album as singles in 1988/89 and was number one at the time in Zimbabwe with both singles in the charts... She further released her second singles HappyLand (Tino Farira Nyika) and One Love Africa..in 1989/90 Happyland written by charlene a song about the sunshine and people around it and home as Zimbabwe, One Love Africa written by charlene a reggae song to support Sport Aid in that [part of the world to help raise funds for the causes there. HappyLand was number one in Zimbabwe. Victory and New day singles followed both written by charlene which followed in the charts at no 2 and 5. Charlene is from an English/African background. She came to the UK in 1990 and previously in 1986and 1989. Debut Album Libertie Libertie was released In 1993 an album inspired by the name as the word Libertie has a strong significance in her life. The album included her current six singles and new songs written by charlene..which had all the reviews and publications as postive in Zimbabwe...featured on Radio and TV both local and international. Multiotherside - International Album Charlene set up her own record label in 2002 and released Multiotherside 1 and 2 in 2002-2005 with two versions. She contributed some of the sales of this album to Unicef to help children. A remix of some tracks from Libertie and new songs to introduce the international world to who she is with an urban,modern RNB relaxed sound once listened to makes you wnat to continue listening to her postive sound. Her music is also featured on Vitamanic,CD Baby,My Space and many other to mention and is available online for purchase as well which has helped bring a sizeable fanbase internationally, Multiotherside had postive reviews, publications,airplay and the next step in the right direction to move forward. This opened the door Internationally through the help of her distributor to take her to the next level as an artist. Rhythum - Third Album Currently released March 2008 Internationally a more accoustic with strong rhythms and sound dedicated to a mixed blend of sound as to her background, slightly uptempo from multiotherside bringing all sounds together, with some music included from Smoothflow Productions and Roucheon featuring on the Rap version of Come on People...
