Carmen Ray has a rich and varied performance history. As a lead singer and instrumentalist with pop/rock bands and a member of the Illinois Symphony Chorus her past experience has contributed to unique and appealing musical sound. The original lyrics and soundtracks on 'The Roof' are one of a kind. Different instruments have been blended together with one or more vocal lines and harmonies. For example, one song combines guitar, hand claps, the mandolin and ambient sounds. Another merges a contemporary rock beat with a children's choir. At the least it's a creative effort.
