Run Free

After being diagnosed with a rare, incurable liver disease, Cami Lundeen turned to songwriting as an outlet for dealing with her newfound reality. Run Free, is her story - a journey of life struggles. These songs are a progression of darkness to light - bondage to freedom - pain to healing. Cami's energetic style is a creative blend of the bluesy-soul of Adele, an alternative rock flare reminiscent of The Cranberries, the quirkiness of Feist, and the edginess of Pink - topped with vocal stylings similar to Brandi Carlile. Whether it be an intimate performance, as Cami commands her guitar alongside her cajon percussionist, or fronting a full band, she lures you in with her sultry voice, and powerful vulnerability. In February 2013 Cami launched a Kickstarter campaign, along with a music video for her single 'Run Free', to raise funds for her debut album. Her Kickstarter campaign successfully funded in April 2013. In May of the same year, she traveled to Five Acres Studio in Abbotsford, British Columbia to record her album with owner/producer Ryan McAllister. As an accomplished singer-songwriter and performing/recording artist, McAllister draws on his years of industry experience (former Maverick Records signed artist) to fill his studio with extremely talented musicians. Cami had the privilege of recording with Samuel Heard (drums), Jonathan Anderson (guitars, banjo, & keys), Jeremy Friesen (bass), Jared Falk (percussion), as well as McAllister himself on several instruments.
