商品説明

'Moonstone is the stone of new beginnings...reflective, the stone reminds us that as the moon waxes and wanes, so everything is part of the cycle of change... Moonstone makes conscious the unconscious and promotes intuition and empathy.. Moonstone is a stone of inner growth and strength.' Lyrics for all Moostone album songs, as well as credits can be found on the website: brittawolfert.tumblr.com Britta's songs are full of passion and emotion, sung with honesty. There are changes in Life, as reflected in 'Moonstone', 'Cafe Leonarde', 'Every Little Moment' and, even 'Cat Tango'... Music buried for years is unearthing, songs resurface, such as 'Achigan Lake' and 'Back on the Road', 'Heute' and 'In the End'. Reflections on travels to Mexico bring out 'Tequila & Guitars', while 'Harbour Dreams' refers to a childhood spent in Hamburg, Germany, close to water. Hey Mabel is an observation of a neighbour, over the fence and filled with compassion and wonder. Songs are being beautifully creatively and professionally crafted, then mixed by producer Rusty McCarthy in his Sault Ste Marie / Ontario studio. . Toronto's Doug Wilde's composition of string arrangements for 'Hey Mabel' makes the listener melt into another world, it is so soothing. Argentinian Harmonica player Mariano Slaimen passionately accompanies the journeys of song, reminding of Toots Tilmans and some Stevie Wonder. Rusty McCarthy's stunning guitar work with 'Moonstone' (as well as all other songs on the album except 'Hey Mabel'), combined with Doug Wilde's key composition, makes this song unforgettable. Sheldon Jaaskelainen's violins weave and dance through 'Hey Mabel' and enchant in 'Cat Tango' and 'Cafe Leonarde'. Martin Virta's meticulous bass provides a deep and solid time line throughout the songs. Harvey Taylor's happy trumpet echoes over 'Achigan Lake', hauntingly alarms in 'Cafe Leonarde'. Jeff Hinich (Banjo), Enn Poldmaa (Mandolin) and Pat O'Gorman (Flute) add the folky touch to the album. Mistr Tahti (Accordian) puts kind of a european touch on 'Cafe Leonarde' and 'Harbour Dreams', lovely. Drummers Marc Dubreuil, Mark Gough, Ed Young and Toronto's Mike Sloski lend their personality to different songs. Britta Wolfert has been urged by friends and family for years, to record an album of her original songs. The time has arrived at last, the album is finished and highly anticipated by many. Britta often plays solo or duo gigs in Cafe's and spent 6 weeks in Nelson / B.C. this spring, where she played at Ellison's Market, Vienna Cafe, John Ward's and also tried her song in busking on Baker street. She also sings actively with local Sault Ste Marie band 'Trippy Hippies' and recently started singing r&b, jazz and salsa with different bands. 'Moonstone' is her debut album.
