自分はこのバンドがローゼズ似だとは、全く感じない。グルーヴより「歌」にこだわったアプローチは、やはりこのバンド独自のもの。そしてこの1stは彼らの代表作ではあるが、最高傑作ではない。青い林檎は美しいけれど、味わうにはまだ早いように、3rd以降の作品と比べると、少しだけ未熟。そのやや未熟な点も含めてこのアルバムの魅力だとは思いますが、「Bluetonesはこのアルバムだけで充分」と切り捨てるには、彼らのこれ以降のアルバムは魅力的すぎる。

振り返るとブルートニックはよく聴きました！自分勝手ながら爽やか系なアルバムの一つです。最近のを聴いてみようと思わないのが不思議な程、胸いっぱい。これだけで・・・・。
