あまりよい表現ではありませんが白人男性と黒人女性の夫婦でフォークグループです。Allison RussellはRhiannon Giddensらと共に「Songs of Our Native Daughters」を作るなど現代のフォーク界を牽引する女性シンガーです。スタジオアルバムでは2枚目ですが、フォークとは言いながらソウルフルな歌声は馴染めます。アルバムのハイライトはやはり「Love In Wartime」です。静かに始まりドラマチックに盛り上がる様は日本人好みで聞き惚れます。残念ながら日本ではRhiannon Giddensほどには注目されませんが、私は好きです。
