Product Description

Digitally remastered edition of the British Rock band's 1975 album. Armageddon was one of THE great unsung bands of the mid-'70s. Formed in 1974 out of the ashes of the UK band Steamhammer, the group featured the vocal talents of former Yardbirds front man Keith Relf, alongside guitarist Martin Pugh, bassist Louis Cennmo and drummer Bobby Caldwell. Originally released by A&M Records in 1975, Armageddon's sole album featured some amazing music ranging from the Led Zeppelin-esque 'Paths And Planes And Future Gains' to the Progressive Rock of 'Silver Tightrope' and 'Basking in the White of the Midnight Sun'. The much overused term 'lost classic' is, in the case of this record, most apt. This reissue has been remastered from the original tapes and restores the original album artwork and will appeal to lovers of Progressive and Classic Rock. Esoteric. 2009.

アー何と言っていいのか？知る人ぞ知る、そんな形容詞がぴったりのバンドです、キース　レルフファン必聴、といってもどれだけいるかのか？名盤とは言いませんが、何か引っかかるそんな魅力を持ったアルバムです、とにかくシルバータイトロープだけでも聞いてみてください、

いやーとりあえずキースレルフさん、あなた最高っす！１曲目、肉食鳥は、曲名と言いリフと言い、インパクトありすぎ。しかも、ワンリフごり押しで８分という構成は実に脱帽ものです。 マーティンピューの以前のバンド、steamhammerの最期のアルバムspeechの１曲目も同じリフを使用しているので、あわせて聴いてみるのも楽しいですよ。

75年に出た作品。年代に左右されないｲﾝﾊﾟｸﾄがこの作品にはある。8分以上ある①曲目の｢Buzzard｣からしてｶﾅﾘのﾃﾝｼｮﾝでｲｯｷに聴かせてくれる。その流れが最後の曲まで維持出来てるんだから凄いの一言しかないね！ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ一枚で終わったのがﾎﾝﾄ残念。BRITISH ROCKは最高だﾈ～☆
