Optymistyka

Akurat is a Polish band formed in November 1994 in Bielsko-Biae a district. 'Akurat' is Polish for 'exactly' or 'yeah right'. It's not simple to describe music of Akurat, therefore among hundreds of bands in comparison, appear such different acts as UB 40 or Green Day. Akurat is one of the bands most frequently playing live - not only appearing over 100 times a year on Polish stages but playing in Germany, Netherlands, Norway and Czech Republic as well. The band got as much as 3 invitations to play Woodstock Festival (biggest European festival with attendance ranging from 200000 - 400000 people) and appeared there in 1998, 1999 and 2001, though the band had not released any official album in that time. Debut album called Pomarancza hit the stores in 2001. After releasing Prowincja two years later and Fantasmagorie in 2006, Akurat became one of the biggest alternative bands in Poland. Optymistyka is another proof of their unique character.
